About

Plans and plantings for the renovation of Sølvagde schoolyard, in Copenhagen Ø, Denmark.

EVM Landskab drew the landscape and plating plans for the conversion of the school’s outdoor areas to grow better outdoor facility for kids and more sustainable space for teaching. We do mainly by adding edible vegetation at relevant spots in this tiny urban yard like: nut and fruit trees, berry bushes, climbers. We are well making room for a greenhouse and compost containers. The project aims at combining educational activities like ecology and gardening with physical space for climbing, sitting, playing. The process of involves both teaching staff, kids and volunteers from the local area to imagine, establish and maintain the new planted beds.  The projects is made in relation with the network-based group Grønneskolegård and supported by Sharing Copenhagen and Copenhagen Municipality.
